About Us

Tots in Motion was started in 2008 to provide working parents the opportunity to introduce their child to the joy of dance through their respective preschool facility. What began in one preschool location in the East Valley has now grown to numerous schools throughout Chandler, Mesa, Queen Creek, Ahwatukee, Gilbert and Tempe.

As part of Starz In Motion, the Tots in Motion program is brought to your child’s facility where he/she is already comfortable and can dance with friends that he/she already knows.  Our nurturing dance educators are not only trained in the art of dance but also have numerous years of experience working with children.

What to Expect:

Class times range between 30-45 minutes, depending upon class enrollment and location.

The classes are high energy physical activity that incorporates jazz, ballet, hip hop and tumbling technique and terminology, focusing on coordination and gross motor skills. They begin with a warmup, stretching, and a muscle building game. We progress to across the floor movements where our dance educators can focus individually on each child.  Next, we bring out the tumbling mat to work on flexibility, core strengthening and tumbling activities. After a fun round of freeze dance, we conclude our class with a discussion of what we have accomplished on that particular day. All of our activities are gender neutral and enjoyable for everyone!

In addition to our dance curriculum, we focus on key character-building elements such as respect, patience, teamwork, confidence, self-esteem, and perseverance.

Twice a year parents are invited to observe a class at their facility. We also offer the opportunity to participate in a formal spring performance (additional costume and production fees apply).

Tuition: Tuition is paid monthly. Contact your facility director for appropriate fees.
